ERT today announced its selection by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a successful bidder on the Professional and Technical Services (ProTech) Satellite Domain contract. The company is now eligible to compete for individual task orders under this multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. These tasks will support the full range of requirements for satellite activities and missions, as well as the management of environmental data resulting from those missions.
Awarded by NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, ProTech-Satellite is the first of five domains to be competed and awarded under NOAA’s ProTech services solution; designed as a resource to support all of NOAA’s Line and Staff Offices, as well as other Bureaus within the Department of Commerce, where applicable. Key areas of work include: studies, analyses and reports; applied research and consulting; data collection and surveys; and program and project management.
The period of performance includes a two-year base contract and three, one-year option periods. The contract began on July 1, 2017 and, if all options are exercised, could last through June 30, 2022. Places of performance will be determined by individual task orders, and will support sites world-wide including: Fairbanks, Alaska; Suitland, Silver Spring, and Lanham, MD; Wallops Island, Virginia; Boulder, Colorado; Asheville, North Carolina; and Townsville, Australia.
“We are very pleased to be selected as a prime contractor for ProTech-Satellite. This contract gives ERT the opportunity to continue performing important work for NESDIS, which currently includes such principal activities as providing 24x7 on-orbit satellite operations, supporting acquisition of next generation satellites, providing data stewardship, conducting research, and developing products,” said Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jingli Yang.
