ERT was recently awarded a contract to provide information technology support services (ITSS) to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). ITSS is a task order under ERT’s NOAALink vehicle with a one year base period of performance. If all contract options are exercised, the task will be worth $14M through July 2020.
Under ITSS, ERT will provide operations and maintenance support to NCEI for the mission and mission support data systems that enable the agency to meet its operational requirements. Work will be performed at all four NCEI locations, which include Asheville, North Carolina; Stennis Space Center, Mississippi; Silver Spring, Maryland; and Boulder, Colorado.
Brian Beitler, Deputy Vice President of ERT’s Engineering Business Unit and ITSS Program Manager stated, “ERT is very proud to have been selected for this work, which allows us to continue our long-term partnership with NCEI. We’re also excited to be performing the first contract task that truly supports all of NCEI. We’re looking forward to developing solutions that benefit NCEI as an organization, along with providing support tailored to the unique work performed at each location.”
ERT has a long history of flexible and responsive service to NOAA’s missions, including a current task supporting NCEI’s science and data stewardship efforts.
