ERT Wins NMFS OCIO Software Development and O&M Contract

ERT has been awarded the Software Development and Software Operations & Maintenance Requirements contract for the NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Office of the Assistant Chief Information Officer (OCIO).

The NMFS is responsible for the management, conservation and protection of the nation’s living marine resources and their habitat. The NMFS assesses and predicts the status of fish stocks while ensuring compliance with fisheries regulations and works to reduce wasteful fishing practices. Under the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act, NMFS recovers protected marine species (i.e., whales, turtles) without unnecessarily impeding economic and recreational opportunities.
Under this T&M contract, ERT will support NMFS in their mission by providing ongoing maintenance of existing applications and providing software application development to support modernization and expansion of NMFS IT capabilities.

This contract, awarded through ERT’s NOAALink vehicle, has a 3-year period of performance.
