Individuals from ERT working on the Safety, Environment, and Medical Services Support (SEMSS) contract assisted NASA Ames Research Center (NASA Ames) with public safety for a large open house event held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in honor of NASA Ames’ 75th Anniversary. It is estimated that more than 140,000 members of the public attended the event to see what happens at NASA Ames and to talk with scientists and engineers. This was the first time since 1997 that NASA Ames had been open to the public.
The team members from the SEMSS contract received Certificates of Excellence award from the Ames Contractor Council for their efforts. Team members were onsite on the day of the event between 10 and 15 hours each to support NASA Ames. The text of the award states “Through their dedicated efforts, this cross-disciplined team of safety, medical, and environmental professionals helped to ensure that no serious incidents occurred during the 75th Anniversary event.” The awards were given to ERT personnel and representatives from our two team subcontractors (Leidos and Eagle Applied Sciences).
