ERT Awarded NOAA Cyber Security Contract

ERT has been awarded a follow-on contract by the NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Office of the Assistant Chief Information Officer - Satellites (OACIO-S) / Cyber Security Program and Solutions Branch (CSPSB) to improve program efficiency and effectiveness by providing prompt, reliable, and high-quality information security solutions.

 

NESDIS OACIO-S CSPSB is responsible for implementing the Cyber Security program within NESDIS ensuring that Cyber Security program objectives of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) are achieved.  Success of this program directly influences the NESDIS long-term programmatic mission to provide timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote, protect and enhance the Nation's economy, security, environment and quality of life.

 

ERT will continue to conduct a variety of security process activities, which include developing high-quality security authorization package documentation, performing compliance reviews of system owner-developed documentation, conducting Security Controls Assessments, and monitoring Plans of Action and Milestone progress and completion.  In addition, ERT working with Lares Consulting, LLC, will provide vulnerability scanning and penetration test services for all NESDIS systems categorized as Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and National Critical Infrastructure (NCI).

 

This contract, awarded under ERT’s NOAALink contract, has a 3-year period of performance.
