ERT Awarded New NESDIS JPSS Contract

ERT has been awarded a contract with NOAA NESDIS JPSS to provide IT Security Services.

The Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) is the Nation’s next generation polar-orbiting operational environmental satellite system, being developed by NOAA and acquired through NASA in an effort to provide continuity of critical observations for accurate weather forecasting, reliable severe storm outlooks, and global measurements of atmospheric and oceanic condition such as sea surface temperatures and ozone. The NOAA JPSS Office (NJO) manages the NOAA-implemented elements of the JPSS.

Under this contract, ERT will provide program support and serve as technical advisor to the NOAA JPSS Office (NJO) Security staff, to ensure that all IT security requirements on the Ground and GRAVITE systems are met. We will assist in the implementation of controls that sustain and improve the protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the JPSS data and its delivery systems as well as manage information-security related risks.

The contract has a one year period of performance with one one-year option period.
