ERT is pleased to announce our award of the Disaster Relief Support Services Contract by NOAA's Office of Coast Survey (OCS).
OCS—the nation’s nautical chart maker—collects, manages, and compiles the data and information necessary to promote safe navigation for commercial shipping, the fishing industry, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard operations, state and local governments, GIS users, and recreational boaters throughout the United States. To achieve this mission, OCS manages the Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping Program (IOCM), which is responsible for the acquisition of multi-purpose ocean and coastal mapping data.
Under this Disaster Relief (Sandy Supplemental) Support Services contract, ERT will support OCS and IOCM by identifying new/innovative hydrodynamic models, data standards, techniques, and applications to forecast or determine oceanographic variables including storm surge, water levels, and currents, and to improve mapping processes, services specifically attributed to the Disaster Relief Act (DRA).
This contract, awarded under ERT’s NOAALink IDIQ contract, has a 3-year period of performance. Staff will be located both in Silver Spring, Maryland and in Durham, New Hampshire, at the University of New Hampshire.
