ERT Awarded NWS Tsunami IT Modernization, Phase II

ERT is proud to announce our award of Phase II of the Tsunami Information Technology Modernization (TIM) Prototype Development Project.

In January, ERT was one of two contractors awarded Phase I of this project and was responsible for the development and operation of a prototype system to demonstrate performance, capacity, and capability of the architecture proposed for next generation of NOAA’s Tsunami Warning System. The goal of the task was to increase efficiency and productivity at the Tsunami Warning Centers (TWCs), whose mission it is to provide reliable tsunami forecasts and warnings to the United States, its territories, and internationally.

As the victor for Phase II of the contract, ERT will be responsible for implementing our prototype and providing a replacement Tsunami Warning IT System to be deployed at each of the two Tsunami Warning Centers in Ewa Beach, Hawaii and in Palmer, Alaska.
