ERT today announced it has been awarded an Operations Technical Support Services (OPSTECH) contract by the National Weather Service (NWS), as a member of the team led by INNOVIM, LLC. The contract has a potential value of $140 million over five years.
ERT will assist INNOVIM in the development, collection, and analysis of decision-support data, execution of operations and maintenance functions for mission-critical systems, and corporate administration and financial management, under the direction of the NWS Office of Operational Systems.
“ERT is pleased to continue its years of support to the National Weather Service and its mission to protect life and property,” said Jingli Yang, CEO of ERT. “Our Team looks forward to assisting the NWS in meeting its mission, delivering vital information to the American public, and streamlining costs to the taxpayers who receive its services.”
The NWS is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). ERT provides scientific, engineering and IT support staff at 30 NOAA offices across NOAA’s Line Offices. ERT recently completed the successful transition of the NOAA workforce of 25,000 to a cloud computing environment; the largest transition to the cloud by a Federal agency to-date.
